Maitreya House is in a very remote part of the rolling wooded hills above the Golden Valley and close to Offa’s Dyke. The Centre can accommodate 12 people with comfort, plus space for about 5 tents.
It stands within a four acre site comprising the house, three wooden cabins, a utility block, many trees and maturing gardens, and another field lies adjacent.
The Main house has a ground floor living/teaching space with panoramic window (approx 5x4m), which opens via double doors to the dining area.
Also on the ground floor is a well equipped kitchen. On the first floor are two twin/triple bedrooms, a single bedroom, and a modern bathroom/shower/toilet.
In the grounds are three wooden cabins, each with two single beds, for one or two person occupancy. A modern wooden utility block houses two toilets, two showers, a store and a laundry.
We have access, by arrangement, to a large zendo in The Orchard next door (see lower image).
